dammit medicare - sometimes sequels are better than the original

Medicare.gov is postponing its big rollout that was scheduled to allow comparison shopping starting Thursday. Officials decided to delay the launch because Thursday is the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, the agency announced.
A new date hasn't been selected yet, said Medicare spokesman Peter Ashkenaz, but is expected to be sometime ``in the middle of October.''
The online tool will allow seniors to plug in their most-used prescriptions and view their best alternatives, considering monthly premium, co-pays, deductibles and the list of preferred drugs.

they honestly expect us to believe that this program, which has been being "planned" for the past two years randomly needed to be postponed for a jewish holiday that has been on the calendar since forever? ok, now, i am a jew, and i see absolutely no way this makes sense. can't they just come out and say, "sorry everyone - we are too incompetent to get our shit together by the time we told you we would, so please wait to figure out how you'll get your life-sustaining medications while we waste time blaming it on the jews. thank you, and may you be inscribed in the book of life. amen."
